This method clears hair from the follicle rather than slicing it at the surface, producing a smoother feel and a longer interval before visible regrowth compared with shaving.
Clients can expect brief sensations when the wax is removed; technicians work to make each removal fast and thorough. If you are using exfoliating prescription medications such as Retin A, Accutane, Avage, Tazorac, Differin, or similar treatments, we cannot perform hair removal due to increased skin sensitivity and risk.
Preparing for your appointment
To get the best result, hair should be at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch long — roughly two weeks of growth for many people. Do not exfoliate during the 24 hours before your appointment. If you have had recent laser treatments, plastic surgery, or a sunburn, we are unable to perform waxing until your skin has fully healed.
We know many clients are commuting professionals or parents with busy schedules, so we offer evening, weekend and express service options. Plan travel via Route 35 or Red Bank NJ Transit station for convenient before- or after-work appointments, and mention any skin medications during booking so we can advise you.
Aftercare and expected results
After waxing, maintain smoothness by keeping the skin clean and moisturized; gentle daily moisturizing and regular but safe exfoliation between appointments can reduce irritation. Avoid exfoliating in the 24 hours before a visit, and follow any technician instructions about topical care. Results leave underarms feeling soft and typically last longer than shaving.
