How the lip wax works
At Salon CoCo BOND Spa in Shrewsbury we remove hair from the upper lip by applying wax gently and lifting it for quick, thorough removal. Before any service we review medical and recent-procedure history. If you are on Retin A, Accutane, Avage, Tazorac, Differin or other medications that increase exfoliation or compromise skin, or if you have had recent laser treatment, plastic surgery, or have a sunburn, we cannot perform this service. Telling your technician ahead of time protects your skin.
Preparing for your appointment
Hair length and skin condition shape the outcome. For best results, allow at least two weeks of regrowth so hair reaches about one-quarter to one-half inch long. Daily exfoliation and moisturization in the run-up will help skin stay healthy, but stop exfoliating at least 24 hours before your appointment to reduce irritation.
