Preparing your skin improves comfort and outcome. Ideal hair length is about one-quarter to one-half inch, which typically means at least two weeks of growth after shaving. Exfoliate and moisturize daily in the days leading up to your appointment, but stop exfoliating at least twenty-four hours before waxing and arrive with clean, dry skin.
Certain medications and recent procedures make waxing unsafe. If you are using Retin A, Accutane, Avage, Tazorac, Differin or other treatments that increase exfoliation or thin the skin, we cannot perform hair removal. Also disclose recent laser treatments, plastic surgery, or sunburns during consultation so the technician can advise alternatives.
