Certain medications and recent skin procedures affect safety. If you use Retin-A, Accutane, Avage, Tazorac, Differin or other treatments that increase exfoliation or thin skin, or if you’ve recently had laser, plastic surgery, or a sunburn, hair removal services cannot be performed. Hair length of roughly 1/4 to 1/2 inch is ideal.
Before and after care
Prepare by keeping skin in good condition: exfoliate and moisturize regularly in the days leading up to your appointment, but do not exfoliate within 24 hours of waxing. Optimal hair length for removal is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch—roughly two weeks of growth—to allow the wax to grip evenly and deliver consistent results.
