Clean skin, avoid heavy lotions, and ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long. Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours before, avoid sun exposure and blood-thinning medications. Arrive in comfortable clothing to make the appointment easier.

Some tugging and brief stinging is normal, but trained estheticians use quick techniques to minimize pain. Numbing creams or ibuprofen beforehand can help. Discomfort typically lessens over time as hair grows back finer with repeated waxing.

Avoid retinoids, chemical exfoliants, and strong acids for at least one week before waxing. Also skip self-tanners, oil-based moisturizers, or recent bleaching treatments. If unsure, consult our esthetician to prevent irritation or adverse reactions.

Waxing can be safe during pregnancy but sensitivity increases. Consult your healthcare provider first, especially in the first trimester. Disclose medications and medical conditions; waxing may be postponed for skin infections, recent surgeries, or certain circulatory issues.

Keep the area clean and avoid heat, hot baths, sun exposure, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing, fragrance-free lotion or aloe, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and avoid tight clothing to reduce irritation.
