Get answers to common questions about Chin.
Most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free chin for three to six weeks. Individual rates depend on personal growth cycles and hormones; regular appointments can lengthen intervals as follicles weaken with repeated waxing.
No — waxing removes hair from the root and does not change follicle structure. Regrowth may feel coarser initially, but over time repeated waxing often leads to finer, sparser hair rather than thicker growth.
Sensitivity varies, but most clients describe brief pinch-like discomfort during waxing. We use pre-treatment calming techniques, quick removal and post-wax soothing to minimize pain and provide a more comfortable experience.
Ensure hair is about quarter-inch long (roughly two weeks growth), arrive with clean, dry skin, avoid heavy creams or retinoids beforehand, and communicate medications or skin concerns to your esthetician.
Active sunburn, open wounds, severe acne, recent chemical peels, or certain medications (like isotretinoin) can prevent waxing. We perform consultations and may request medical clearance or suggest alternatives such as threading or tweezing.
Avoid heat, heavy sweating, exfoliation and direct sun for 24–48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free soothing products and avoid makeup on the area immediately to reduce irritation and promote healing. If irritation persists, contact us for advice.
