How the service works
At Salon CoCo BOND Spa we remove hair along the bikini line by applying wax precisely to clear the edges outside the swimsuit area. Your esthetician will map the swimsuit boundary and remove only the hair beyond it, producing a defined, tidy outline without altering coverage inside the suit.
Results depend on hair length, skin condition and previous skin treatments; hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch for best removal. Clients on exfoliating medications or who recently had laser, surgery, or sunburn require a consultation because those conditions can prevent safe waxing.
What to expect in salon
Your appointment begins with a brief consult where we confirm the swimsuit boundary and any skin concerns. Treatments are private, focused and efficient; we offer evening, weekend and express options to fit busy family schedules and commuters using Route 35 or Red Bank NJ Transit station before or after work.
Prep and aftercare reduce irritation: exfoliate and moisturize daily but do not exfoliate within 24 hours before your appointment. If you're menstruating, wear a tampon and expect slightly higher sensitivity; taking an over-the-counter pain reliever about an hour beforehand can help manage discomfort.
Choosing shape and maintenance
Deciding how much to remove is a personal choice guided by swimsuit style and comfort. Our technicians shape the edges to create a neat outline; maintenance visits are scheduled according to each client's hair regrowth rate and personal preference rather than a fixed timetable.
For clients attending events at Count Basie Center, Red Bank waterfront outings or Monmouth Park, book ahead and use evening or weekend slots. We also feature express options for last-minute touchups, which suit commuting clients who plan appointments around trains or Route 35 travel.
